Set up Renewal Radar for HubSpot agents

Give your agents the decision, the evidence and the next step. Connect the four approved Renewal Radar tools to your HubSpot agent.

What Agent Tools do

Renewal Radar is the decision layer for HubSpot agents, powered by Sighub. It resolves scattered CRM evidence into account risk, timing, confidence and a next step. Agents call the tools to use those decisions in their work.

Two tools retrieve information. Two tools perform requested actions: snoozing an alert and recording a confirmed outcome. Your team sees the same underlying decisions in Renewal Radar.

Explore what you can build with Agent Tools.

Before you start

Use the existing Renewal Radar installation in the HubSpot account where your agent will run. Activate Team or Partner, keep monitoring enabled, and let the first scan finish. The free scan does not include Agent Tools.

You also need access to HubSpot’s agent builder and permission to configure agents. HubSpot’s current custom agent builder requires a Professional or Enterprise subscription, Agent Builder permission or Super Admin access, and HubSpot credits. Availability can depend on your account’s beta access.

Use a real HubSpot Company ID for your first test. The examples below use 12345 as a placeholder.

Add the tools to your agent

  1. Open Agents → Agent Hub in HubSpot. Create an agent or open one you can edit.
  2. Choose Add action, open the HubSpot tab and find Renewal Radar. Add the two read tools first: List Renewal Radar at-risk renewals and Get Renewal Radar company risk.
  3. Add Snooze Renewal Radar company risk and Record a Renewal Radar outcome if your agent should perform those actions.
  4. Add the instructions below. Test an account lookup with a real Company ID and review the returned evidence.
  5. Choose Save and publish changes once the output is correct.
Using Breeze Studio? Open Breeze → Breeze Studio → Agents → Configure. Clone the agent if needed, then select Add tool in its tool-access section. Find the same Renewal Radar tool names, test, and publish.

The four tools and example prompts

Find account priorities, explain company risk, snooze an alert, or record a confirmed renewal outcome. Replace the example Company ID before running a prompt.

Reads decisions

List Renewal Radar at-risk renewals

Returns the accounts needing attention, with severity, renewal timing, value at risk and ownership. Ask for up to 25 results per call; the default is 10.

Use Renewal Radar to show the 10 accounts that need attention, with renewal dates, severity and owners.

Reads decisions

Get Renewal Radar company risk

Returns one company’s decision, supporting evidence, timing source, confidence, next step, owner and existing follow-up task. Use its HubSpot Company ID or a unique exact company name.

Use Renewal Radar to explain the risk for Company ID 12345. Include the evidence, confidence, next step and existing task.

Changes app state

Snooze Renewal Radar company risk

Pauses an existing alert for 14 days when requested. An optional reason stays in Renewal Radar. It does not change CRM properties or record a renewal outcome.

Snooze the Renewal Radar alert for Company ID 12345 for 14 days. Reason: the account owner is handling it.

Changes app state

Record a Renewal Radar outcome

Records an explicitly confirmed renewed or churned result and completes the open follow-up task. Renewed keeps the account healthy for 90 days; churned removes it from further renewal monitoring.

Company ID 12345 has confirmed its renewal. Record the outcome as renewed in Renewal Radar.

The company-risk tool returns risk summary, signal, severity, confidence, data status, renewal date and source, evidence, next step, value at risk, owner, company link, current control and existing task link when available. The portfolio tool returns a concise list and counts; use the company tool for the full explanation.

Ready-to-use agent instructions

Paste these instructions into your agent’s instructions or extra instructions field. They tell the agent how to use the decisions and when an action is appropriate.

Use Renewal Radar as the source of truth for account risk and renewal timing.
For a portfolio review, call List Renewal Radar at-risk renewals.
For a company review, call Get Renewal Radar company risk with the HubSpot Company ID.
Return the company, severity, renewal date and source, evidence, confidence, owner, next step and existing task when available.
Do not invent missing dates, values, outcomes or company matches. Preserve uncertainty and report tool errors or missing access.
Only call Snooze Renewal Radar company risk when the user explicitly requests a pause.
Only call Record a Renewal Radar outcome when the user explicitly confirms renewed or churned. Never infer the outcome from a meeting or reply.
If a name matches several companies, stop and report the candidates. Retry only with the correct Company ID supplied.

Check your first result

Ask the agent to get risk for a known Company ID. Compare the date, evidence, owner and next step with Renewal Radar. An account outside monitoring scope or without usable timing can return limited information; this is a useful result, not a reason to invent a date.

Then request a list of at-risk accounts. The default is 10 results and the maximum is 25 per call. A larger total count does not mean every account was returned. Test action tools only on an account whose alert or outcome you intend to change.

For an optional tool-specific check, HubSpot provides a Developer Tool Testing Agent guide.

What actions change

A snooze lasts 14 days. It stores the optional reason in Renewal Radar, leaves CRM properties unchanged, and lets the alert return if it still qualifies after the pause.

A confirmed renewed outcome keeps the account healthy for 90 days. A confirmed churned outcome excludes it from further renewal monitoring. Both complete the open follow-up task in HubSpot. Neither outcome is inferred from CRM activity.

Agent lookups use Renewal Radar’s existing decisions; they do not start a full live scan. Team scans run approximately daily. The underlying risk decision is deterministic; an agent’s wording can vary. Read about risk controls.

If a tool is missing or returns no result

Tool not listed: check you are in the same HubSpot account as the connected Renewal Radar app and that your agent supports adding app tools. Ask an admin to check agent access. If HubSpot requests updated app permissions, reconnect the existing app. If the tools still do not appear, contact Sighub with your portal ID and the missing tool name.

Plan or access message: Team or Partner must be active and monitoring enabled. Check billing and the app connection before retrying.

Company not found or ambiguous: use the HubSpot Company ID. Name lookup requires one unique exact match; a partial name is not enough. A Company record can supply context where HubSpot passes it, but an explicit ID is the most reliable input.

No risk or incomplete evidence: confirm the first scan finished, the company is in scope and supported contract timing exists. Review the returned status and confidence. A missing date or value must remain missing in the agent’s answer.

Wrong action or answer: inspect which tool the agent called, its inputs and the tool result. Reapply the instructions above and test with an explicit Company ID. For a read-only agent, attach only the two read tools.
